"All kids are creative" and Hands On provides projects and ideas for kids 7-12 plus parents, teachers, grandparents and group leaders. We want to make crafting a part of everyday life. Surround yourself with things you make, and make being creative a part of who you are.

Hands on crafts for kids is the resource for kids craft projects and instructions for kids 6-12 and parents, teachers and other group leaders. It includes school and curriculum based projects, multi cultural projects, and every day, holiday and seasonal ideas. It is the online home of the public television program Hands On Crafts for kids.

This show will be available to watch on our website from October 31 - November 7 (Noon EST).

In this series, hosts Candie Cooper and Katie Hacker celebrate the artist in you! Along with great craft projects, there will also be art and design techniques. Each show is themed around an art term and will have two art and two craft projects to let your inner artist shine.

The first project is an art supply holder which has brightly colored cord that is knotted together to form the hanger. Next, batik a monster tank top using a color resist technique. Then, the art journal page is an experiment on color mixing to create funky printed leaves. Finally, the color wheel is the primer for how to mix color but it creates a beautiful work of art when you add glitter for our last project.
