Build it: Art doesn’t always have to be flat. We can build 3D structures which have “facets” or surfaces which can be left alone or colored and treated. It is interesting to do creative thinking: take an idea or mental picture and follow through what it takes to see your vision completed.

Build Your Art
Materials Needed:
Faber-Castell Connector Pens
Canson® sketch paper for planning and mock-ups, XL Watercolor, Bristol or Multimedia paper for “skin”
Tape or Glue Dots
Scissors

Directions:
Think about an animal, or object that you would like to build. Sketch your ideas out on paper and think about how it is made up of different shapes. How would you make these shapes and put them together? You can make solid shapes by folding and gluing/taping paper together. With connector pens you can build a supporting skeleton (armature) and then cover it with paper.
