Marbelized Paper Cards

1103-3

Always cover your work surface with a mat or some type of protective covering like wax paper or plastic.

Main supplies:

  • Prang® Brush Pens
  • Prang® Metallic Markers
  • Glossy cardstock paper
  • Cardstock – colors to match

Basic Supplies:

  • Foil
  • Glue stick
  • Decorative scissors
  • Hole punch – 1/8”
  • Scissors
  • Spritz bottle filled with water
  • Thin grosgrain ribbon – 10”

Instructions:

  1. Place foil on work surface.  Determine desired colors then pull colored brush pens from package.
  2. Working in about an 8” section, squiggle one color of pen onto foil.  Working quickly, add two more colors within section.  Spritz a few times with water.  Press the paper, glossy side down, onto foil pressing paper on the back with fingers.  Carefully lift up paper then re-position on foil. Lift off and let dry.
  3. Place another piece of foil on work surface.  Squiggle one of the metallic brush pens from package onto foil and spritz with water.  Press painted paper into paint and press.  Lift and reposition the pull off and let dry.
  4. Fold and cut cardstock to desired size of card.  Use decorative edge scissors to trim marbleized paper.  Run a Metallic marker along the edges – let dry.
  5. Layer and glue colored cardstock for backing.  Trim backing piece.  Glue to front of card.
  6. Tie a bow in the center of ribbon.  Apply glue to back of knot and along tails.  Position in place and press to secure, folding and gluing ends to back of card.
  7. Use brush pens to personalize or write words as desired.
