Magnetic Car Game

Always cover your work surface with a mat or some type of protective covering like wax paper or plastic.






Main supplies:

  • Small metal lunch box
  • 12  metal bottle caps
  • Prang® Metallic Markers
  • Black card stock
  • Button magnets
  • Sand paper

Basic Supplies:

  • Elmer’s® Glue All™
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Nickel
  • Scissors
  • Paint brush

 

Instructions:
1. Add a drop of glue to the inside center of each bottle cap. Place a magnet in the center of each bottle cap. Let dry.
2. Measure and mark the back side of the lunch box.  Use the metallic markers to draw a Tic Tac Toe grid on the back side of the box. Write “My Game box” on the front side of the box .Decorate the remaining sides of the box with X’s and O’s. 
3. Draw around a nickel to make 12 circles on black card stock.  Cut them out. Mark 6 circles with an X and 6 with an O. Lightly sand the tops of the bottle caps. Glue the black circles onto the tops of the bottle caps. Let dry.
4.  Paint a layer of glue on top of the circles on the bottle caps to help protect them. Keep the game pieces inside the lunch box.
